GroupDocs April 2013 Newsletter – Integration of GroupDocs Comparison with Multiple Platforms

After successfully integrating GroupDocs Viewer, GroupDocs Annotation, GroupDocs Assembly and GroupDocs Signature with many different platforms, GroupDocs has introduced a Comparison plugin for multiple platforms. Now, you can integrate the functionality of GroupDocs’ efficient document comparison app to your websites using a plugin. This lets you compare documents from within your web applications. In addition to the GroupDocs Comparison integration, we’ve extended the reach of GroupDocs Viewer, Assembly and Signature plugins to more platforms. You can also find more enhancements in our apps, such as “differences summary” in Comparison, file upload preprocessing callback, new security settings, etc.

We’re planning to retire V1.0 of Assembly and Annotation in the next 4-5 weeks, making V2.0 the standard. Furthermore, there are more enhancements underway for GroupDocs Viewer, Signature and Comparison, so stay tuned!

New Features

This month, we’ve made enhancements to the various GroupDocs apps, launched various new plugins and updated our GroupDocs SDKs.

  • GroupDocs Comparison V2.0 – Panel to display a summary of differences.
  • GroupDocs Viewer – Functionality to serve directly from Windows Azure Storage.
  • GroupDocs API – New security setting to disable file and folder listing within an account; access files only by correct name.
  • GroupDocs API – File upload preprocessing callback: Know when your document has been preprocessed to avoid any delays in viewing.
  • Enterprise and above plans – Implemented EU-based storage and processing to ensure sensitive files do not exit EU borders.
